TEMPERAMENT

~A devoted companion, playful, cheerful, merry and sweet. Intelligent and responsive needs to be around their owners to be happiest. Generally quite peaceful with other pets in the household.

~Buff, Black, Black & Tan, Chocolate, Sable, Parti-colored, Roan & Merle.

GROOMING NEEDS

~Daily brushing required, average shedder, coats require regular trimming and bathing typically every 6-8 weeks depending on the length of the coat. Eyes and Ears need regular cleaning.

TRAINING NEEDS

~Typically easy to train as very food motivated. Training should be by positive reinforcement only due to the cockers sensitive nature harsh reprimands are likely to dampen their spirit.

HEALTH ISSUES

~As with any purebred they are pre-disposed to certain health issues such as ear infections, skin problems, heart problems, thyroid, eye diseases (such as cataracts, glaucoma, cherry eyes, conjunctivitis, distichia, and progressive retinal atrophy), autoimmune disease and luxating patellas.
